Length: 45 to 60 minutes
Stress Management sessions include a consultation and personal instruction in methods (including breathing techniques and Medical Meditation) of releasing stress and tension, reducing sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system response and activating the parasympathetic (rest and repair) nervous system. Aida is Certified Medical Meditation and Stress Management Consultant (CMMC and CSMC) and is experienced in administration of Medical Meditation.
Medical Meditation is based on the application of mindfulness and related processes of meditation. These practices include Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Contextual Psychology, ACT Therapy, autogenic training (AT) and progressive muscle relaxation (PMR). They are among the most well-researched modalities of treatment in both medical and behavioral health and are considered evidenced-based interventions suitable for a wide variety of individuals and circumstances.
Mostly recommended during practice of Chapter One: Human Body and Chapter Two: Human Mind.
